The decision of the Court of Cassation n. 27101/2019 of 26 March filed on 23 October 2019 attached has given the go-ahead to the possibility
of requesting the return of the provincial surcharge charged in the bill for the first 200,000 kWh for electricity supplies for the years
2010 and 2011 only.
In 2012 the surcharge was abolished because it was in contrast with the European Union Directives.
We therefore report the possibility of initiating a request for a refund of the provincial surcharge on excise duties on electricity
consumption for the years 2010 and 2011 calculated on consumption up to 200,000 kWh per month. The refund request must be sent to the
electricity supplier of those years and only for the period 2010 and 2011 since the previous years are now prescribed.
