The ENEA Observatory on Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) made it possible to analyze this sector niche that is growing in our country. The Observatory examined information on policies, public
and private information and training initiatives.
The 7th Annual Report on Enea Energy Efficiency drawn up last year had begun to focus on the Italian market for NZEB buildings. Although
niche, the report highlighted a growth in numbers. The Observatory launched last year made it possible to draw up the state of the art
in the sector.
Between 2016 and 2017, around 600 buildings were built in Italy with almost zero energy needs, largely covered by renewables. Of these,
80% of new construction and 88% for national residential use
