With the publication in the Official Gazette, the Law of 27 April 2022, n. 34 of conversion into law, with amendments, of the Decree Law of
1 March 2022, n. 17 (the so-called “Energy Decree”).There are many innovations and simplifications concerning the renewable energy sector,
the main ones being:
- simplified authorization procedure (PAS) to authorize photovoltaic plants with power up to 20 MW
- The Energy Decree modifies the criteria on the basis of which an end customer becomes a self-consumer of renewable energy
- The Energy Decree promotes the valorisation of agro-industrial by-products by expanding the range of usable biomasses, thus favoring the
development of biogas and bi-methane.
